Since the Great Commission enlists the church to disciple the world, we at Vandercook Baptist Church take that very seriously through a variety of learning opportunities.
Sunday School
Our Sunday school classes are an important part of our Sunday morning activities. Beginning at 9:45 a.m., Sunday school is offered for all age groups. Separate classes are provided for the different age groups: children, teens, and adults. These smaller classes provide more opportunity for one-on-one training in God's Word and fellowship with other Christians.
Sunday Morning Worship
Our Lord is worthy of our praise and worship. He longs for us to gather together as His body. Our Sunday morning service is geared specifically for God's glorification. Our Sunday morning service begins with Scripture reading, prayer, and worship in song. We close the service with preaching. Our primary goal for our Sunday morning service is to both bring God glory and build up the believer's faith in God.
Sunday Night Worship
Our Sunday night service is a second round of praise to our God and learning about our God. Since Sundays are set apart for God, we believe that the body ought take every advantage to gathera as the Day apporaches. This service begins with singing and ends with an interactive Bible study.
Missions
As Christians, we are commissioned to go into all the world and preach the gospel. That’s why at Vandercook, we partner withmissionaries to take the good news to nations and people-groups around the globe. The fame of His name matters. And so we’re excited to see the worship of our God spreading to the uttermost parts of the earth.
Truth Trackers
The Truth Tracker clubs provide a fun weekly event to help disciple children, youth and families for Christ.
The program blends Bible teaching, scripture memorization, prayer, singing, and some activity into one efficient program. We offer classes for three age groups. The first grade through third grade make up our Scripture Spies, and the fourth grade through sixth grade we enlist in our Faith Force. We also offer a teen group class (7-12 grades). Our goal is to reach out to kids, their families and the entire community!
We meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm from mid-September through the end of April (see Calendar).
Wednesday Night Bible Study
While church every Sunday is refreshing, we know that during the week you often need to be rejuvinated in the Word of God. Wednesday night Bible study aims to do just that. At the Bible study, we discuss many different topics of Scripture with a particular interest on applying what the Bible says to our lives. Any age is welcome to join in. After the Bible study, we break up into smaller groups for prayer.
Wednesday Night Bible Study meets Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm.
